Experimental research on a rheometer protocol to map the initial resistance of cohesive sediment
Van Remoortel, G. (2015). Experimental research on a rheometer protocol to map the initial resistance of cohesive sediment. Ghent University. Faculty of Engineering and Architecture: Ghent. 72 pp.
Maintenance of a necessary required water depth by dredging away layers of cohesive sediment in harbors and estuaries is of high importance for Belgium’s marine economy. Knowledge of the sediment suspension behavior is therefore necessary to limit the height of this sediment layer. Therefore efficient measurement protocols are needed for further research.
