Description 1905 (Circa). De VLAANDERENSTRAAT. De Vlaanderenstraat, gezien vanaf het Wapenplein, richting Zeedijk. Op de plaats van het kleine hoekhuis links, werd rond 1912 het groot HOTEL EXCELSIA gebouwd. Dit gebouw bestaat thans nog. Op het gelijkvloers wordt een schoenenzaak uitgebaat.
