Abstract:
There are about 200 employees.Scientific staff is about 90 persons among them 2 professors, 6 full doctors and 17 Ph.D. From 1999 to 2002 SBSIO RAS participated in realization of the1st stage of the Federal Special Program "World ocean", working on a subject “Complex research and monitoring of the Black, Azov and Caspian seas” . In the same years SBSIO RAS carried out research on Federal Special Scientific-technical Program under projects:Research of processes of water interaction between a shelf zone and the deep sea and their influence on the pollutant transport.Experimental investigations of hydrophysical fields, meso-scale circulation of waters and eddy structures within the Black Sea Rim Current.Investigation of the Hydrodynamic Processes in the Neashore Zone as a Base for the Modeling of the Sediment Transport, Shores Reformations and Pollutants Distribution. From 2003 till nowadays the 2nd stage of the Federal Special Program "World ocean" is being realized, SBSIO RAS participates in works directed on the implementation of “Complex research of processes, characteristics and resources of the Black and Azov seas ” Besides, SBSIO RAS carries out 2 projects of the Department of sciences of the Earth, Russian Academy of Science in frames of the program ” Development of technologies of monitoring, prediction and natural resources development of arid zones of Russia ”
