I am lead editor for WoRMS Polychaeta, a major marine group with which I am helped by 16 other Polychaeta specialists. I edit all families, look into the taxonomic questions raised by users, and I post polychaete news on Twitter as @WPolyDb. Since joining WoRMS in 2009 I have manually edited thousands of the Polychaeta entries, expanding and updating the information we have available, with over 1000 updates of taxon names alone in 2012.
My research interests are in the biology and taxonomy of polychaetes of New Zealand seas, and I am always looking out for interesting polychaetes, even at the beach on holiday. As well as my volunteer editor work for WoRMS, I continue to moderate the long-established mailing list ‘Annelida’ which I founded (now at https://lists.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=ANNELIDA-L). Taxonomic term: Polychaeta [WoRMS]
