Dr. Teodoro Ramírez (PhD in Chemistry) (In-house consultant), is a Research Scientist at the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO) with a wide experience and multidisciplinary background in marine research. From 2011 to 2014 he has been member of the JPI Oceans Secretariat where he has contributed actively to the strategic process for the development and implementation of JPI Oceans since its earlier stages. He was involved in the FP7 project CSA Oceans and he also participates in the CSA Oceans 2 as one of the members of the MINECO team participating. He provides support to MINECO as scientific advisor in marine and maritime research related aspects at EU level. He has represented IEO before the EU institutions and has been actively involved in policy issues as national expert at the Member States Expert Group on Integrated Maritime Policy. He has also been member of the SCAR FISH working group. He has published over 30 scientific papers in peer reviewed international journals on marine sciences. He has participated in 17 research projects, including both national and European projects. | |
