This platform provides information and knowledge about the Flanders Hydraulics' areas of expertise in 'hydraulics and sediment', 'harbours and waterways', 'hydraulic structures', 'water management' and 'coastal protection' - ranging from Flanders Hydraulics' employees with their expertise, the curriculum of this institution, to publications, projects, data (in the long term) and events in which Flanders Hydraulics is involved.
When both projects (ECOSONOS and MOPSEA have executed a similar study, commissioned under SPSD II of the Belgian Science Policy: shipping emissions in the Belgian part of the North Sea end the Flemish ports) presented the preliminary results, one could notice significant differences. Therefore, an expert workshop is being set up to investigate where the differences can be found and to put this all in a wider European framework.
