Alphonse Meunier (Lessines, 15 augustus 1857-Leuven, 19 februari 1918) was professor aan de Katholieke Universiteit van Leuven en tevens erekanunnik van de kathedraal van Doornik. Meunier heeft prachtig gedetailleerde tekeningen van het microplankton van de Zuidelijke Noordzee, de Barentszzee en de Karische Zee gemaakt.
