Het harig porceleinkrabbetje Porcellana platycheles (Pennant, 1777) is een soort die zeldzaam aan de Belgische kust voorkomt. In 1989 werd ze echter talrijker dan andere jaren vastgesteld; dit is vermoedelijk het gevolg van de zachte winter 1988- 1989.
