This platform provides information and knowledge about the Flanders Hydraulics' areas of expertise in 'hydraulics and sediment', 'harbours and waterways', 'hydraulic structures', 'water management' and 'coastal protection' - ranging from Flanders Hydraulics' employees with their expertise, the curriculum of this institution, to publications, projects, data (in the long term) and events in which Flanders Hydraulics is involved.
Het Waterbouwkundig Laboratorium ontwikkelt, beheert en gebruikt diverse numerieke modellen voor studies en operationeel gebruik. Deze modellen zijn een essentieel hulpmiddel voor het berekenen van waterstanden, stroming, sedimenttransport en morfologie, golfklimaat en overstromingsrisico's. In deze workshop krijg je aan de hand van enkele bestaande modellen een inleiding in de diverse types modellen, de ontwerpfilosofie en toepassingen.
