| Abstract |
The analysis of Polychaeta community in the Port of Ischia reveals the existence of two distinct population units, the discontinuity between which can be explained on the basis of a water movement gradient. The gradient maintains its discriminating action in time, making the biocenotic discontinuity constant, notwithstanding the seasonal fluctuations of populations. This is in good agreement with other previously studied taxocenosis in the same biotope. |
