Abstract |
Variation in fullness of stomachs of two palaemonid species was studied throughout the year. Stomachs of females were more full than those of males but the stomachs of females were empty as ovaries matured. Amphipods were the major food item in stomach of both sexes of both species throughout the year. Other components of stomach content were: polychaetes, molluscs, insect larvae, algae, sand and un-identified organic matter. |
