Lavinia joined the JPI Oceans Secretariat in January 2020, supporting communications, event organization, and JPI Oceans involvement in the H2020 AANChOR project. She has a background in international environmental law and policy, along with experience in project management, research, environmental communications and events. Prior to joining JPI Oceans, Lavinia acted as coordinator of the Partnership for Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction (PEDRR) at UN Environment. She previously worked within the Environment Division of UNECE, and the Environmental Law Centre of IUCN. Lavinia holds a Master’s degree (MA) in Environmental Policy from the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA), Sciences Po Paris, and a double Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Law and Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
