Abstract
This is the fifth and final subreport of the coastal flooding case stduy within the framework of the CLIMAR project. In this report, the adaptation measures that were developed to reduce the effects of climate change on coastal flooding risks were evaluated quantitatively, and subjected to a sensitivity analysis. Strengthening of the first line of coastal protection proves to be the best solution from an extended CBA viewpoint. These adaptation schemes can be supplemented with non-structural measures, such as evacuation planning and construction regulations. Further research is needed on the valuation of intangible losses, and the combination with the tangible losses that are modeled at present.
