Dit platform verschaft informatie en kennis omtrent de WL expertisedomeinen 'hydraulica en sediment', 'havens en waterwegen', 'waterbouwkundige constructies', 'waterbeheer' en 'kustbescherming' - gaande van WL medewerkers met hun expertise, het curriculum van deze instelling, tot publicaties, projecten, data (op termijn) en evenementen waarin het WL betrokken is.

In order of the VMM (Vlaamse Milieumaatschappij) the status of implementation of the Fourth North Sea Conference by the Flemish government concerning hazardous substances, either indirectly by the participation of the Flemish government in the policy of other international organizations (EU, OSPAR, OECD, UNE ECE LRTAP, UNEP, Rivercommissions) and directly by Flemish legislation and policy was analysed. Suggestions for policy priorities have been given.
