Abstract: |
MARE-Madeira is one of seven poles of the Marine and Environmental Research Centre (MARE), a national R&D Unit Marine, broadly focused in advancing scientific tools towards better understanding aquatic ecosystems, including rivers, estuaries, coastal and open ocean habitats.
MARE-Madeira combines technical and scientific expertise to address all types of aquatic ecosystems, coastal systems and ocean in a current context of regional and global changes and cumulative anthropogenic impacts.
MARE-Madeira is a centre for research, technological development and innovation, with an integrative and holistic approach, concentrating a wide diversity of expertise, skills, and capabilities, with a nationwide territorial implementation, that develops its activities oriented to societal challenges, in close partnership with national and international research centres. |
