Expertise
Sebastiaan Mestdagh works as a PhD student at the Marine Biology Research Group of Ghent University. His research involves the study of the effects of changing sediment dynamics on macrobenthic biodiversity and ecosystem functioning in the estuary of the Schelde. This includes studying the natural diversity and functioning of the estuary, but also experimental work to assess the impact of sediment deposition or increased turbidity on macrobenthic communities.
