Ee Zin Ong, a PhD student, who investigates effects of hypoxia, ocean acidification and warming on physiology, behavioural and condition on shallow habitat marine marcobenthos and the cascading effects on ecosystem diversity and functioning. His works involve setting up microcosm experiments, manipulating seawater pH, temperature and oxygen level as treatments to incubate the marcobenthos, and using porewater pressure sensors and time lapse camera to observe bivalves activities under the sediment. As a MARES candidate, he is mobilised between Ghent University and Plymouth University. | |
