| Abstract |
A design is being drawn up for the redevelopment of Kaaiplein in Hamme and the water barrier at the rear of Aartstraat and Kaaldries (opposite the Groot Broek area). Here, the new flood defence will be shaped by an L-wall. A preliminary design has been made in which a minimum river width of 51 m is maintained. With this design, the flow section will be reduced in some places. The client requests that modelling be used to check the hydraulic consequences for this local river intake. |
