Abstract
The contribution describes three fossils of the walrus Odobenus rosmarus. Most finds of mammals in the North Sea concern land mammals of the Last Glacial, derived from continental deposits in the southern North Sea . The presence of walruses in these contexts raises questions about the importance of the sea-level fluctuations and shifts of the North Sea coasts during the mentioned glacial period.
