Wei He obtained her Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology, and her MBA from the European University in the Netherlands. She has worked for renewable energy in China, Risoe-DTU, Denmark, the Netherlands, USA, Japan and in Norway for more than 20 years. She has published 20 journal papers and one book. Her research results on fuel cells were compiled into fuel cell handbooks. She has been with the former Hydro and now StatoilHydro for 11 years and currently is working as principle engineer at the Research Centre in Bergen. She is the technical leader of the EU NorseWind project at Statoil and she has initiated several innovative floating wind turbines projects under the new idea development program.
