Abstract |
1. Blood from embryos, young animals and adult Sepia officinalis L. has been analysed by an ultramicroelectrophoretic technique.2. During the differentiation of a very small embryo into a 2-month-old animal, we have found eleven different protein fractions. 3. All these proteins have been identified as hemocyanin by histochemical tests. 4. The possible origin of the embryonic, young and adult hemocyanins is discussed. |
