Abstract: |
De Particle and Interfacial Technology groep (PaInT) richt zich op verschillende fysico-chemische aspecten van oplossingen en mengsels:
- onderzoek naar colloïdale mengsels, zoals (dubbel) emulsies, (nano)suspensies en liposomale mengsels;
- verwijdering van opgeloste stoffen uit waterige stromen met geavanceerde membraanprocessen zoals omgekeerde osmose (RO), voorwaartse osmose (FO), elektrodialyse (ED), etc.;
- bepaling van de deeltjesgrootte en oppervlakteladingskenmerken;
- bepaling van de oppervlaktelading van membranen en bevochtigbaarheidskenmerken;
- fysico-chemische behandelingsprocessen van waterstromen.
Het mariene aspect van het onderzoek richt zich op de ontwikkeling en optimalisatie van nieuwe hybride membraanprocessen voor de energie-efficiënte ontzilting van zeewater. |
