*Tobias is a data manager at VLIZ and co-leads the data management activities of EMODnet Biology and EurOBIS. He has a background in marine science and biological oceanography, with experience in marine ecology, fisheries research, and biodiversity data collection.

He completed his PhD on squid ecology and stock assessment in the Falkland Islands and subsequently worked on ecosystem modelling and environmental data analysis. His work includes data management, statistical analysis (R and Python), including interactive R Shiny applications, and database development.
