Abstract
    Two series of dredgings have been executed near Gravelines during 1973 and 1976. The factorial analysis of similarity between samples has shown the existence of three communities. Their distribution is mainly the result of the importance of fine particles in the sediment. The cenotic study and the simultaneous factorial analysis of the two series have shown that an almost generalized silting of the area occurred from 1973 to 1976.
